The Niagara of the West

Known as the “Niagara of the West” Shoshone Falls along Snake River in Twin Falls Idaho is quite a hidden gem. At 212 feet high, it is actually 45 feet higher than Niagara and spans over 1,000 feet.

It’s in a pretty remote area, which probably does wonders to keep the traffic and “touristy” feeling at a minimum. But, our precarious five-mile drive down a slippery, steep city road to the tiny city park following an inch or two of snowfall was worth the stress once we stepped out on the viewing platform.

Amazing.
