Highly Recommended Rocks

In the days leading up to our visit to Arizona, so many people told us we just had to stop in Sedona. It was already on the list, but we were surprised that it was recommended so often.

As we exited the main highway and started driving the Red Rock Highway, we realized what they were raving about. The drab brown of the desert gives way quickly to the bright rustiness of the hills; stripes of color hang above the arid landscape and hearty desert trees as we drove down the highway.

Numerous pull-outs and scenic viewpoints offered reason and opportunity to stop. We just hope our pictures can translate even half the beauty.
