Quite an Imposing Shadow

Casts quite an imposing shadow across the flat North Dakota landscape.

When the Warszawa Radio Mast in Konstantynow, Poland collapsed on August 8, 1991, the KVLY-TV 11 transmission mast in Blanchard, North Dakota became the tallest man-made structure in the world at the time… in the world people… 2,063 feet straight up!

Get this, since then, the FAA has imposed a 2,063 foot limit on structures – so there will never be a structure higher at least not in the US. And, this mast is second ONLY to the Burj Khalifa Tower in Dubai as the world’s tallest man-made structure (2,717 feet)!
