After our ride on the Fenelon Place Elevator, we stopped at Sweet Memories Ice Cream Shop. We chatted with the proprietor (or former proprietor – there was a story there, but we didn’t pry) as he was scooping butter pecan and superman into our cones. He asked us where we were from and then told us there is something we would like to see. If other customers hadn’t been in the shop, we might have been more nervous, but I did have my camera at the ready.
He guided us over to his postcard display, shared with us Eagle Point Park and gave us directions. It seems he has offered these directions before as he had the blocks and distance down.
We weren’t disappointed as we a prime view of the Mississippi locks and true to its name, an eagle eye view of the Mississippi.
